Amongst the lush Palm Grove and ferns you will find shaded spots ideal for a relaxing stop and picnic here.

At this area is the Shaw foundation Symphony Stage situated at one end of the valley, providing visitors an open concert view of the performances  held regularly here. We enjoyed our family picnics here, with grandson having fun in the open space, and grandpa sketching, while the family enjoying  the music and food.

Singapore Botanic Gardens

Now a Unesco World Heritage Site, its popularity will no doubt be much more widespread, but on a personal level my engagement with this garden has taken on a new fervour.  More on site artwork to record its allure and beauty  will be made, and sharing with my students what it can offer. This painting  is nostalgic , done with recall,  a  kind of  snapshot  of what is like looking back in retrospection of days gone by.
